The short version
TVScope does not collect, transmit or sell personal information. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The developer runs no server that the app talks to.
Local network
TVScope uses local network access to find Apple TV devices on the network you are already on, to pair with them, and to receive their screen and sound. This traffic goes directly between your device and your Apple TV. Nothing leaves that network.
Screenshots and recordings
Screenshots and recordings are written to the app's own storage on your device. They go to Photos only when you turn on Save to Photos or choose Save to Photos yourself. TVScope asks only for permission to add to Photos, not to read your library.
Microphone and camera
The microphone is used only while a recording is running, and only when Record Microphone is on. Your voice is mixed into that recording on the device. TVScope does not record video from your device's camera.
Pairing information
Pairing keys for your Apple TV are kept in the device Keychain. Device names, addresses and settings are kept in the app's storage. None of this is sent to the developer.
Diagnostics
Diagnostic logs contain device names, timings and error codes. They never contain screen contents. They stay on your device until you choose to share them, for example by attaching them to a support message.
Purchases
If TVScope offers in-app purchases, payment is handled by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive or store your payment details.
Children
TVScope does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
